Privacy Policy
How SalaryChecker India handles your information, analytics, advertising, and browser data — in line with Indian privacy law.
Last updated: 6 April 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SalaryChecker India (accessible at thesalarychecker.com/india) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our salary and tax calculators. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in compliance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What we collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal details to use the calculators. All salary inputs and calculations run entirely in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. The following types of information may still be involved through third-party services:
- Technical data: browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, session duration, and approximate geographic location (city/region level).
- Usage data: how you interact with calculators and guides, collected through analytics tools.
- Advertising data: ad interaction signals collected by advertising partners to serve relevant ads and keep the site free to use.
- Browser storage: limited local data saved in your browser to preserve calculator state between sessions (e.g., last-entered salary).
- Correspondence: any information you choose to share by emailing us directly.
Calculator inputs
Figures you enter — such as CTC, deductions, or rent amounts — are processed locally in your browser to generate estimates. They are not sent to our servers, stored in any database, or used to build a user profile. We do not know what salary you entered.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (e.g., which calculators are most used, which pages have errors) and Google AdSense to display advertisements that help fund the site. These services may set cookies and collect data such as your IP address, browser fingerprint, and page interactions in accordance with Google's own privacy policies.
You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ad Settings. You may also use your browser's cookie controls or a browser extension to limit tracking technologies.
Local storage and cookies
The site may store limited data in your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember your last calculator state. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
How we use information
- To operate and improve calculator features and site content.
- To analyse aggregate usage and fix errors.
- To serve advertisements that help keep the site free.
- To respond to emails and support requests you send us.
- To detect and prevent abuse or misuse of the site.
Sharing with third parties
We do not sell personal data. We rely on third-party providers for analytics (Google Analytics), advertising (Google AdSense), and hosting/CDN services. These providers may process limited technical data as part of delivering their services. We do not share calculator inputs or salary figures with any third party.
Data retention
We do not store calculator data on our servers at all. Analytics data retained by Google follows Google's standard retention policies. Any emails you send us are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your query and are then deleted.
Your rights under the DPDPA, 2023
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access information about the personal data we hold about you (if any).
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Request erasure of your personal data where it is no longer necessary.
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf.
- File a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India if you believe your rights have been violated.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at titronlabs@gmail.com.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, and the DPDPA 2023, we have designated the following contact as our Grievance Officer for privacy-related complaints:
- Email: titronlabs@gmail.com
- Response time: We aim to acknowledge grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site changes or when Indian data protection regulations are updated. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts.
